ASLIN Canada

We are relationship builders first, and when relationships are successful, it means we have brought a Canadian product to a foreign market, and introduced a global buyer to a quality Canadian supplier.

We help Canadian companies export, and we help companies outside the Canadian border find the products they want to buy from Canada. Located by the sea port of Vancouver, Canada’s largest trading port and North America’s most diversified port, we dedicate ourselves to exporting and providing you access to Canadian goods.

The Founders

Allison & Josh, the two co-founders, met while working on import and export related projects and realized their impact would be so much larger working together. Their diverse trading background of over 20 years, and complementary skills are a great fit to solve the complex issues of international trade – from product sourcing to international packaging and labeling requirements, to customs regulations – we have the experience.

Allison Boulton

Recently re-located back to Vancouver after working in Asia and the Middle East; Allison brings 15 years of international trade, marketing strategy and business development to her clients.

She is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with a focus on growing globally. Currently an International Trade Advisor with over 15 years of wine industry experience, most recently as the Marketing and Trade Sales Director – China for a wine importer and distributor, and before as Director of Operations for a niche Canadian winery.

Allison has extensive expertise not only in product design, branding and promotion, but also in strategic planning and international expansions. Her diverse skill set is an invaluable asset for clients in need of an advocate with both knowledge and agility. Her commitment to sustainability has driven her to encourage companies in both Canada and Asia to identify and implement business practices and processes that integrate financial, social and environmental considerations – ultimately leading to a healthier business structure.

Allison relocated to China in 2011 to complete her MBA in Shanghai with HULT International Business School, where she consistently demonstrated superior leadership and public speaking savvy – as demonstrated both at the Hult Global Case Challenge Asia Finals, where she acted as a

Joshua Ludgate

Working on international trade projects for many years, from international sourcing for Canadian telecom manufacturers; to sourcing in Canada for the Asian markets, with an emphasis on South Korea; to the creation of an international trade network with covering Hungary to Brazil to Canada, Josh is always seeking to connect and introduce products and people across the globe.

Josh completed his MBA at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and began his international trade career with an eight-year career at Hewlett Packard within the Financial Services division. He then formed a partnership with an experienced partner based in South Korea focused on premium food products. This partnership is now part of Aslins’ competitive edge in this growing market, and ideally suited to take advantage of the most recent Free Trade Agreement with Canada (CKFTA).
